Retreat to Nature

As the world around us gets louder, finding quiet moments to truly be with ourselves can feel increasingly harder and out of reach.

This Labour Day holiday, we invite you to step away from it all and find rest in the tranquil mountains of Central Bali. Retreat and reconnect to nature, reconnect with yourself.

Experiences

Mindful Movement

Imagine waking up to the sounds of nature, surrounded by mountains and fresh, cool air. Each day of our yoga retreat will begin with a grounding session that combines gentle asana, breathwork, and meditation, tailored to release tension and create space for deep relaxation.

  • Daily sunrise breathwork
  • Daily yoga and meditation sessions
  • Workshops /Yoga Philosophy
  • Reflection & Quiet time

*There will be an option to store away your mobile phones and gadgets, in the spirit of disconnecting from the online world.

Retreat to Nature

Nestled within amidst a lush 10-hectare estate in the higher altitudes of central Bali, we will be staying on a working bio-dyanmic coffee plantation.  Besides growing coffee, this family-run plantation is a host of well over 50 varieties of wild grown fruits and vegetables.

A farm tour, if weather permits, will be conducted by the founder of the plantation, who is deeply committed to a holistic, ecological and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food and nutrition.

Farm to Table

Experience the wholesome flavours of wild fruits and vegetables grown organically, delivered fresh to the table.

During your time here, learn how to forage and harvest wild plants and vegetables. There will also be a workshop in home-cooked style with freshly harvested ingredients.

*Please note that all meals served during the retreat will be vegetarian.

Sustainable Living

True to sustainable living, all rooms are uniquely built with one-of-a-kind repurposed local materials, and open views to the spectacular surroundings.

With the higher altitude and naturally-ventilated rooms, you will feel rejuvenated and recharged with the energy from the mountain fresh air.

    Retreat Leader

Hi, I’m Lipeng, your retreat leader and yoga teacher. Having worked as an architect for over two decades, I deeply understand the inherent need for city dwellers to step away periodically, to recharge and find balance. We’re often connected to our work and our loved ones, yet we rarely make the space and time to connect with ourselves.

A retreat in a natural environment offers a wonderful opportunity to reset and re-align ourselves to nature's circadian rhythm. When we practise yoga in nature, our experience deepens and the wholesome effects multiply in our body, mind and spirit.

The natural beauty of the mountains in Bali will be the background and foreground of this retreat. I hope you will join me - and bring a friend too!- and find like-minded ones here on this retreat to nature.
More about me and the style of yoga I teach here.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please email Lipeng at blissdivineyoga@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

This retreat is open to all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. If you are a complete beginner, I do recommend you to attend a few yoga asana classes so that you can have the maximum benefit and enjoyment during the retreat. We will be practising classical yoga asanas which are gentle with emphasis on breath and inner awareness. Due to the terrain of the site , a certain level of mobility  is required to move around safely within the retreat venue, especially if you have weak knees as there are a fair number of steps and slopes.

Yoga mats and basic props are provided. However, feel free to bring any personal items (like your own mat or blanket) that will make you more comfortable in your practice.

Each room has an en-suite bathroom with water heater. All rooms are uniquely designed  by the owner, you will not find any room the same!  There are options for double bed and twin beds, and they are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

** There is no A/C in the rooms as the retreat venue is located on higher altitude of 1,000m above sea level, where the air can be cool in the morning and evening.

The retreat is designed to be an intimate experience with 8-12 participants to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere and encourage meaningful connections.

Located in Tanbanan, Central Bali, it takes about 2-3 hours by car from the airport, depending on traffic.

*If you are flying into Bali on 29 April, please land before 12 noon to allow ample time to travel to the venue as Bali traffic can be unpredictable. It is also advisable to arrive earlier, when there is still daylight.

Retreat guests can arrange for carpooling after their flight details are confirmed.

Our retreat will begin officially on 29 April, 4.30pm with an opening circle and ceremony, followed by a short practice. The retreat closes on 2 May, 11am after breakfast and morning practice.
